Project Description
Situated on the banks of the Grand Union Canal, this garden had formerly been planted in an Oriental style but had become overgrown. Our client decided they wanted to change the garden to reflect the interior of the house so we designed a garden that was sharp, modern and provided plenty of entertaining space. We created two distinct areas, a decked area by the canal and a second granite-paved area by the house, linked by a granite path through the lawn. The pergola and gated trellis screen gave the top of the garden some privacy from passing canal boats and also stopped their new dog from taking unscheduled baths. The rendered seat in the decking area provides not only perfect seating to enjoy the waterside view but is also a strikingly modern statement in itself.
